there are local and state primaries and elections every year!

this year on tuesday, november 5th, there are elections all across the country for everything from local councils to governorships and entire legislatures up for re-election

these elections matter almost more than national races because they’re the people who will make decisions on a local, personal level

they’re the people who will get to decide congressional districts after the 2020 census and how much states spend on education and and healthcare and whether abortion rights should be upheld or slowly stripped away and if that shitty road that everyone complains about will actually be repaved

every vote counts in these elections

every. single. vote.

systemic change and progress doesn’t happen by only voting for presidents or even showing up to vote for your congressional representatives and senators

if you want real change to happen you have to effect it at every level

so find your polling place and go vote

every year. twice a year.
